Olivia Windham Stewart

Olivia Windham Stewart is an independent business and human rights specialist. As an expert in human rights due diligence, Olivia works with a range of stakeholders committed to improving human rights outcomes in supply chains. Her clients and collaborators include brands and manufactures; industry associations; multi stakeholder initiatives; non-governmental, intergovernmental and development organisations; policymakers; foundations; and labor unions.
In 2022, in her independent capacity, Olivia co-founded RCP to implement the Responsible Contracting Toolkit, starting with the MCCs 2.0, which she helped develop as a key member of the ABA Business Law Section Working Group to Draft Human Rights Protections in International Supply Contracts. Olivia was also a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Corporate Law and Governance at Rutgers Law School and continues to collaborate with RCP in her role as Senior Advisor.
Prior to her work as an independent specialist, Olivia worked at an employee-owned business and human rights advisory firm in London and was also on the founding team of an award-winning NGO. She has extensive experience delivering projects in-country and has worked widely in South and South East Asia in particular. Olivia’s academic background is art, law, and international development.
